Sustainable Design.

Sustainability is not a one-off project, it is a critical decision making process that will aid a business, corporation or government department in managing environmental outcomes and costs, as well as provide benefits to customers and employees.

The benefits in accounting for sustainability in business decisions will often deliver cost reductions, especially ongoing operating costs such as power and water and improved process efficiency that comes with reduced environmental impacts.

In our dealings with our clients, and through fully understanding client needs, Saber will endeavour to:

  •  incorporate the principles of ecologically sustainable design into projects where applicable

  • utilise design principles and strategies to help reduce the environmental impact of a building

  • utilise design principles in space planning that encourage user friendliness and positive community interactions in the movement of people

  • discourage pollution in all forms and provide advice on best practice in reducing waste initially and disposing of waste in a responsible manner

  • encourage the procurement of products and construction materials that have been sourced from socially responsible companies and be aware of the social effects in the supply chain

  • provide advice to clients that may help reduce waste both in the construction and ongoing operations of buildings

  • encourage capacity in the wider communities we operate through education and advice that promotes sustainable development

  • provide advice on regional environmental, ethical and community standards and certification and maintaining currency in changing regimes

  • provide advice on benchmarking through comparisons with similar operations

  • provide advice on maintaining currency.
